How to Kill Hornets
While there are hornets around your home, there are always threat to your safety as well as the safety of your family and your visitors. It is justifiable to eradicate them all. However, before doing any further steps, you must know what kind of hornets you are dealing with. Now, there are hornets which live in the branches of the trees, bushes and even in the roof of your home. There are also hornets which live under the ground where they built there own burrows and colony.
The hornets which live in the trees and houses are easy to find because usually, before the sun sets, you will find a lot of them flying around their hive, taking turn who will be the first to come into their hive. Upon seeing activity in one of the trees, you will know that there are hornets around. However, those which live under ground need a closer look to be able to know where their burrow is. But you always have a clue that sand hornets are living underground if you can see burrows underground.
Before you take any violent actions for the hornets, be sure to posses these materials:
- Very thick suit to cover your whole body. It should be thick so that the stings will not pass through should there'll be attacks from hornets while doing the procedure.
- If you have a bee hat, use it to cover your head and face.

Killing hornets in the trees and houses

Get into your protective suit to protect yourself.

You must do your killing procedure at night as they are vulnerable when they are resting. They can also barely see at dark hours.

You must start a fire to create a smoke under the nest.

Spray the insecticide around the nest and into the entrance of the hive. Be sure to buy the fast-acting poison so that there will be no hornets which can escape.

If you need to pluck the nest off the branch, then do it using the long stick while the sack is ready to catch it below.

Once the nest is secure inside the sack, you can burn it to kill them all.
Killing hornets under the ground
Step 1
Locate the burrows of the hornets. Once you can find them, locate the hole of their entrance.
Step 2
Pour the insecticide into the entrance or into the holes of the burrows. A fast-acting insecticide is helpful enough to attain fast result.
Step 3
After applying the poison, look for anything to cover their entrance so that not one can escape. If you can create a fire in the burrow, you should to make the hornets desperate enough to get out of their hive.
Step 4
Once done, you will need to destroy the burrows and cover it with soil or gravel as there is a high possibility others will find the burrows conducive to living. It is better to be sure.
